The WWE NXT Championships were redesigned back in April when the paint behind the center plate logo was changed with a rainbow-like design, matching the color scheme the brand adopted when it rebooted to NXT 2.0 back in September 2021. According to BeltFanDan, who broke several Stories about WWE championship belts, this design would soon be abandoned and previous championships would be revived. He later clarified in a separate tweet that the change is happening due to Color 2.0 being phased out. The NXT and NXT Women’s Championships were redesigned in 2017, and aside from the color change, they’ve remained consistent for the past five years.
Bron Breaker is currently living in the 250-plus reign with his second title since debuting on the brand last year. His last defense came in NXT Deadline This past weekend when he defeated Apollo Crews. Mandy Rose saw her 413-day reign as NXT Women’s Champion abruptly end on NXT this week against Roxanne Perez, then released Wednesday morning due to explicit content she was posting on FanTime.
Word on the street is that the NXT Rainbow belts will be replaced by former uncolored belts.
